The context
The trigger was the growth of the company’s business. We wanted to anticipate it. Luckily we did so four years ago: today this project would have been much more complicated to implement.
The needs
We had several needs.
- The first. Separate the banking module from our ERP to have an independent tool. The goal was an autonomous tool offering more flexibility in use and easier access to the latest versions (or at least decoupling it from accounting module updates).
- The second. Find a tool that could connect all the countries where we operate.
Our main challenge was retrieving information on the one hand and centralising it on the other. As accounting is managed centrally, banking had to follow the same logic for receiving (account statements) and sending (payment flows).
The choice
E-Finances is the publisher that offered us the most possibilities in terms of use and flexibility. Several criteria came into play.
- A simple home screen. All options and features are quickly and easily accessible. Even a novice logging in knows where to go and what to expect when clicking on a given feature.
- Direct contact with the publisher. We communicate directly with the right people. We can raise issues, they can find solutions and study whether they can be implemented.
- Twice-yearly updates. The software evolves regularly and the teams take customer requests into account. The software can be adapted and customised for the client. That was also a deciding factor.
- Biometrics. The biometric option offered by E-Finances, which has been using it for around ten years, was also much appreciated internally in making our choice.
The benefits
Availability is a strength, and the relationship is excellent. We communicate easily with the right people, including maintenance. It’s a company in full development, and that appeals to us too.
In conclusion
We are very satisfied. E-Finances takes our improvement and development requests into account and cares about customer needs, which is very important.
